All about Lila

My Great Aunt Karen made me a very special present- a book all about me! It is such a neat gift and Mommy loves reading it to me.

My latest new things- blowing bubbles and I discovered my fists. I like to put them in my mouth and wave them in the air.

Look, I found my foot!!

I also like to "talk" and "sing"!

Beach Trip

I went to the beach for the first time this week! Check out my sunglasses!

I liked dipping my toes in the water and feeling the sand with my feet.

I had my own tent to hang out in and stay out of the bright sun. The ocean sounds just like my "sleep sheep" that helps me go to sleep every night!

First Trip to Virginia Tech

We took our first road trip a few weeks ago to visit friends and family, including a stop at Virginia Tech! Daddy was excited to show me around and had me wear a VT outfit. Mommy put bows on my shirt so everyone would be sure that I am a girl.

Here I am at Lane Stadium, where the Hokies play.

Daddy is a great multi-tasker! The stadium wasn't very full but I hear it will be packed next time I come, for the Nebraska football game.

Happy 2 Months!

Lila turned 2 months on August 10th.

She had her 2 month checkup- she measured 23 inches (75th percentile) and weighed 10 lbs 13 oz (50th percentile). She also had to get shots which was no fun for Lila or Mommy! Luckily she had a few friends who helped her through it...

Lila 7-8 Weeks

Over the past few weeks I have started to find my voice and make coos/noises that Mommy and Daddy think are cute and funny. I like to "talk" the most in the morning and when playing on my jungle activity mat! I'm still trying to figure out how to roll over. I am really starting to focus on things like the mobile on the activity mat and the mobile in my crib.

We started a class called Mommy and Me Yoga. I get a baby massage, watch Mommy do yoga and get to see other babies.

We celebrated Mommy's 30th birthday and her friend Amanda came to visit us. Amanda spoils me rotten and I loved spending so much time with her! Daddy and I spent the day together while Mommy and Amanda went to the spa.

Here we are about to go to dinner for Mommy's birthday:

I'm smiling more and more! My eyes are getting more and more blue like Daddy's. We wonder if they will stay this way.
